Performance Program
3 Nights Beijing, 2 Nights Xian, 3 Nights Shanghai
Days 1 - 4 Beijing
Fly to China's capital and the site of the next Summer Olympic Games. Arrive the next day and get ready to explore the city that blends new with old, where modern high-rise buildings appear next to ancient monuments. Take an excursion to the awe-inspiring Great Wall and stroll along the huge structure that is visible from space. Tour the Forbidden City and Tian an men Square. Make a morning visit to the Temple of Heaven and watch as local seniors gather for traditional exercise and a chat with friends. Give a performance at one of Beijing's premier venues, the Poly Plaza International Theatre.
Days 5-6 Xian
Take a morning flight to Xian, whose history spans more than 3000 years. Tour the 2000 year-old Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses Ð a significant archeological discovery that was uncovered in 1974. Visit the enormous City Wall, one of the world's largest ancient military defense systems and the best preserved city wall in China. Perform in the nearby village of Anwu.
Days 7-10 Shanghai
Fly to China's largest city and most important seaport, Shanghai, arriving in time for a lunch visit with a local family. Spend a full day touring the sights of the city. See the exquisite Yu Garden, visit the City Planning Exhibition Center, and view historical relics at the Shanghai Museum. Walk the famous Bund and fashionable Nanjing Road. Join China's gifted youngsters and put on a concert at the renowned Children's Palace. And reminisce with fellow performers at a festive farewell dinner before departing for home.
