Days 1 - 4 Beijing
Fly to China's capital and the site of the next Summer Olympic Games. Arrive the next day and get ready to explore the city that blends new with old, where modern high-rise buildings appear next to ancient monuments. A deluxe motor coach takes you to your luxury accommodations at the China World Hotel, situated in the heart of Beijing's diplomatic and business district. Asia Getaway's hospitality desk will be staffed all day to assist you during your stay. Take an excursion to the awe-inspiring Great Wall and stroll along the huge structure that is visible from space. Explore the Forbidden City, a stunning, 9,000-room maze of courtyards, palaces, apartments, and storehouses for the Royal family. Participate in a traditional tea ceremony. Take a morning excursion to the Temple of Heaven and watch as local seniors gather for traditional exercise and a chat with friends. Tour old Beijing's Hutongs by rickshaw and visit a local family to learn about the daily life of ordinary Beijing citizens. And at the end of the day, be sure to take in a traditional foot massage. Days 5 - 7 Hong Kong
Depart Beijing and fly to the major international center of finance and trade, Hong Kong. Your luxury accommodations await you at the Kowloon Shangri-La Hotel. The award winning hotel is situated on the waterfront and features panoramic views of the famous harbour and Hong Kong Island skyline. Asia Getaway's hospitality desk will be staffed all day to assist you with spa and restaurant reservations, shopping excursions or business appointments. Tour the sights of Hong Kong Island - Victoria Peak, Repulse Bay, Stanley Market and ride a traditional Sampan in the harbour at Aberdeen. Take a Tai Chi lesson, sample Dim Sum at a local eatery and then visit a custom tailor service. The finale to your Asian escape takes you on very special evening cocktail cruise aboard a private Chinese Junk followed by a four-course dinner at the Marina Club in Aberdeen.
