9 Days China Discovery with Hong Kong is the best way to explore China’s ancient history and culture and experience the modern China. ITINERARY

DAY 1 – ARR. BEIJING (-)

Arrive in Beijing, the capital of China. Meet your experienced local guide and transfer to the hotel. Check in at your hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure.


DAY 2 – BEIJING (B,L,D) 

Full day visit the Temple of Heaven, an important site for the emperor worship, the largest square in the world – Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, where the last emperor resided. Enjoy a national dish, Peking Duck dinner as a welcome dinner.


DAY 3 – BEIJING (B)

Climb the Great Wall of China. The 4,000-mile long and 2,000 years old construction is said to be the only man-made structure visible from the moon. Pass by 2008 Olympic Sites.

Evening, enjoy dinner at your own leisure.


DAY 4 – BEIJING TO XIAN (B,L)

Fly to Xian, an ancient capital of China with over 3,000 years of history and eastern departure point of the Silk Road.  Xi’an has long been an important crossroads for people from throughout China, Central Asia, and the Middle East, and thus a hub of diverse ethnic identities and religious beliefs.  Visit the Eighth Wonder of the World, Terra Cotta Warriors Museum to see the excavation site with more than 8,000 life-size army created during the Qin Dynasty.  See the City Wall, the most well-preserved ancient military structure in the world.


DAY 5 –  XIAN TO HONG KONG (B)

Fly to Hong Kong, the city never sleeps.  Enjoy free time to explore Hong Kong or take an optional seafood dinner to taste the delicious fresh seafood.


DAY 6 – HONG KONG (B)

Half day Hong Kong Island tour, start with Hollywood Road, one of the first roads built in Hong Kong.  You will hear some of the interesting stories of Hong Kong from your local guide while visiting the biggest Dryfood Street in the world.   You will see some fantastic dry seafood and Chinese herbs and learn about the health culture.  Ride the tram to the top of the Victoria Peak to get a panoramic view of the Hong Kong.  Free at leisure for the rest of the day.


DAY 7 – HONG KONG TO SHANGHAI (B,D)

Early morning, fly to Shanghai. Explore the past, present and future of Shanghai by walking along the Bund. Attend a silk weaving workshop to learn about production of silk. Visit the classic garden, Yuyuan Garden and the busy Old Town Bazzar. Tonight, enjoy a special farewell dinner to recapture the unforgettable memories.


DAY 8 – SHANGHAI (B)

Full day free at leisure or join an optional tour to Suzhou, “Venice of the East” and best known as the Garden City of China.


DAY 9 – SHANGHAI DEPT. (B)

Transfer to the airport for your flight to home.
